AOL Offering WSOP Seats

Six seats to the Las Vegas main event in July being given away at online casino Games.com

Online casino Games.com has announced that it will award six lucky players with seats to the upcoming World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event in Las Vegas.

A subsidiary of giant AOL, Games.com stated that players could compete in free online no-limit Texas Hold'em tournaments until June 15 with the top six competitors each receiving their seat for the July 3 event along with travel expenses from within the United States.

“Freeplay online poker continues to be one of our most popular categories on Games.com,” said Greg Mills, Director for AOL Games.

“We are thrilled to continue our exclusive agreement with Harrah's License Company, the owners of the WSOP, to provide a chance for users to win a poker player's dream come true, a seat at the table with poker professionals. If they play their cards right, they could walk away with millions.”

Games.com stated that players participating in free daily qualifying tournaments could earn their way to a Sunday winner-takes-all tournament held each week. The winners of each of these six events would receive the prize package to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino to take part in the WSOP.

“For the past three years, AOL has offered amateur poker players something they can't find anywhere else, a free opportunity to play at the WSOP main event,' said Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner for the WSOP.

“We are excited to continue our alliance with AOL to offer anyone over the age of 21 a shot at becoming part of poker history.”
