PKR Comes Top In Poll

According to Hitwise, online poker room leapfrogged other competitors in numbers of visiting UK players.

Three-dimensional online poker room PKR.com has announced that it came top in a recent poll by Internet competitive intelligence service Hitwise in its gambling poker category for the first quarter of the year.

The Alderney-licensed site stated that it finished ahead of other major players such as VCPoker.com and WilliamHillPoker.com in the number of visits from UK-based players, the latest achievement in a series of milestones by one of the world's fastest growing poker rooms.

'We are extremely pleased with this award,” said Simon Prodger, Marketing Director for PKR.com.

“We have seen some phenomenal growth and it's not slowing up. We have never accepted US players so to achieve the top ranking in the UK is fantastic.'

Hitwise provides insight into the interaction between 8.4 million Internet users and over one million websites across 160 industries in the UK. It found that PKR.com came first, leapfrogging other major competitors, based on the market share of visits among all UK websites in the gambling-poker sector.
