Is Tryst the place to be for poker players?

Tuesday 20th May 2008

The best poker players in the world are normally found at Bobby's Room at the Bellagio.

But now it appears another venue is rising up to rival the MGM Mirage-owned casino's hold on the elite - and a game of cards is not even involved.

Numerous poker stars were spotted at the Tryst nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas resort over the weekend.

Shannon Shorr revealed in his blog that he was in attendance along with Jean-Robert Bellande and Brandon Cantu.

Between them the players have made numerous television appearances and taken down some major tournaments, with Cantu standing out in particular for his World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker bracelet wins.

Shorr had just returned from a trip to Europe, but did not take time out to recover from any jetlag, heading straight to the club which he feels is one of the best on the Strip.
