OPOY top five changes continue

Wednesday 21st May 2008

After months where the top five in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) rankings failed to change around much, the frontrunner list now looks almost completely new.

Halfrek has come from nowhere this month to take the lead and Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron has fought his way back from 16th to be second.

Now there is a new man in the number five spot, in the form of Philip "USCphildo" Collins.

The online professional, who had made the top ten earlier in the season before almost falling from the top 20, surged back into contention with a 400-point score earlier this week.

Collins finished second at the $1k Monday tournament on Full Tilt Poker, receiving $58,720 for his troubles.

Full Tilt has been responsible for most of the changes at the top in recent weeks, although one man bucking the trend is Tim "Tmay420" West, who went into tenth position after making several hundred points on Absolute Poker.
