Lee Watkinson To Host Charity Event on FTP

Sunday night will see Lee Watkinson hosting a tournament on Full Tilt Poker for the ‘Save Captive Chimps’ charity

It will be a late on for us Europeans, but at 9pm EST, Lee Watkinson will host a charity tournament on Full Tilt Poker.

Much like the tournament run by Jen Harman a few months back, the buy in to this tournament is $10, half of which goes to the charitable cause while the other half will go to the prize pool. Harman’s event attracted some of the biggest names in the Full Tilt Poker team to take to the tables, and while no names have been confirmed as yet, it’s always likely that fellow pros rally around the charitable efforts of others.

The $5 donated from each buy-in will go to the Cortland Brandenberg Foundation which was set up to help save chimpanzees, while the money will also be used to set up a new sanctuary in Watkinson’s home state of Washington, due to open in June.
