Internet bingo industry to receive recognition at next month’s Online Bingo Summit in London.

Conference organisers Bullet Business has announced that next month’s third annual Online Bingo Summit in London will see the debut of the Online Bingo Awards to recognise some of the best in the industry.
The Awards will take place alongside the Online Bingo Summit from June 17 to 18 Royal Garden hotel in the borough of Kensington and will be the first time individual virtual bingo companies have been recognised for there successes. Honours will be given out in seven categories including Best Newcomer, Best Online Bingo Portal, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Affiliate Program, Online Bingo Software and Online Bingo Operator 2008 alongside a special recognition for innovation.
To decide, seven recognised industry experts were brought together by Bullet Business in order to select the categories and decide on the nominees for each category.
“The panellists make up a representation of the online bingo industry right now, a snapshot of the current market with representatives from operations, technology, supplier, affiliate, analyst and association,” said Ravi Virpal, Director and Organiser for the Online Bingo Summit and Awards.
“The aim has always been to give the online bingo industry the recognition it deserves as a stand-alone industry while also recognising the companies that have pushed to make this happen. This is a very exciting event and a big deal to anybody in the online bingo industry.”
The members included Michael Braga of Mice and Dice, Phil Fraser of Which Bingo, David Hunter of Paysafecard, Jessica Luthi of Affiliate Program Advice, Steve Cook of Parlay Entertainment, Steven Baldwin of The Bingo Association and Virpal.
“The categories cover the depth and breadth of the online bingo business as it stands today in 2008,” said Fraser.
The final winners are to be selected by delegates at the sell-out Online Bingo Summit using their onsite voting card.
