Online casino operator 888 made one lucky Australian poker player’s dreams come true last month thanks to its Unltimate Home Game Tournament.
Nathan Perry from New South Wales won the chance to play poker in his home along with eight friends against Aussie cricket legend Shane Warne. In addition, 888 provided a pro-quality table with chips, cards and a waitress serving pizza and beer at the lucky winner’s house in Woy Woy. Perry, a bridge construction worker, bested 150 other Australian players and Shane Warne fans to win the ultimate prize, which took place on April 11. Warne also autographed cricket memorabilia for participants while at the game.
Now, through its PacificPoker.com online casino, 888 is giving other poker and cricket fans the chance to join the former sports star as he competes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Nevada through its Join Shane Warne in Las Vegas promotion.
To qualify for the online final on June 14, players must take part in any of the site’s free daily competitions and finish in the top three. Players can also increase their changes by playing in daily $1.10 buy-in qualifiers where the top eight go through to the final. The winner of the promotion will fly to Las Vegas with Warne along with $2,000 in spending money and stay at a five-star hotel before playing in the WSOP main event.
