Actor Woody Harrelson won the Cannes 2008 Celebrity Charity Poker game last week, splitting first place with French actress Alice Taglioni, according to hollywoodtoday.net.
The event, held at the Palm Beach Casino, was host to such names as Edward Norton, Dennis Hopper, Goldie Hawn, Salma Hayek and Tim Robbins.
The celebrities selected for this years' event were chosen due to their affinity for Texas hold'em and their devotion to their charities of choice.
Each competitor was interviewed prior to the game about their respective charities, with Harrelson's share of the $500,000 top prize going to the environmental group Oasis.
A huge screen broadcast the game live to a large crowd outside and inside the casino many gathered to watch the celebrities battle it out.
Harrelson starred The Grand, an improvisational comedy set in a fictional poker tournament, which was released earlier this year.
