As poker players, we all love a tournament where you buy in and the generous sponsors add a bit of cash to the prize pool, right? Well, if you’re in London this week you should head to 'The Casino at The Empire' on Leicester Square as they are hosting a £500 added tournament designed for the newer poker players in the capital.
The game has caught on in a major way in the English capital, and with the first World Series of Poker event to be held outside of Las Vegas coming to London last summer, the popularity has soared even more. The Empire was one of the three casinos that welcomed the world’s elite to the table, and it’s been busy at the card room ever since.
This Thursday, they are celebrating a year since they opened their doors, and the £20 No Limit Hold’em tournament will see £500 added to the prize pool by the management at the casino. There will also be no registration fee charged for the tournament, making it a vig-free, prize pool added tournament. You don’t get too many of those to the pound nowadays, so if you’re in town be sure to check it out!
