The Bellagio has announced that it will be introducing deeper starting stacks in its daily tournaments.
Daily tournaments at the legendary Las Vegas casino currently have a buy-in of $540 (£270), $1,080 on Friday and Saturday, with 3,000 and 5,000 starting stacks repectively, Card Player reports.
However, in June this will change as the Bellagio will double the buy-ins for the tournaments and will allow 10,000 stacks Sunday to Thursday and 20,000 for the Friday and Saturday nights.
Bellagio tournament director Jack McCelland commented on the changes to the structure: "We decided to increase starting stacks because of the demand from players - and the main goal is always to keep the players happy."
Players will be able to test out the changes on May 30th and May 31st in a preview of the new system.
The Bellagio has a 7,000 sq ft poker room with 40 tables, two high-limit areas and the famously exclusive two-table Bobby's Poker Room for high-rollers.
