Unknown Poker Star Tucsonan Ned Shabou In Running At WSOP
Tuesday 3rd June 2008
While he took the brave move to call it a day on his full time employment only last year to play Poker full time, it seems as though the 2008 WSOP has come at the right time for Tucsonan Ned Shabou. As we enter the second day of the 2008 WSOP second event Tucsonan currently lies 12th out of the remaining 446 players at the table.
The event in which he is competing is a $1,500-buyin No Limit Hold’em event which has seen the largest ever players list for a WSOP non-main event tournament. While the initial 3,929 players have now been whittled down to just 446 there is still work to be done for Tucsonan Ned Shabou. Under the rules of this particular event the winner will walk away with a massive $831,279 jackpot, but the final 378 players remaining at the table will receive a payment.
The rise of Tucsonan Ned Shabou from a normal working man just last year to 12th in the biggest non-main event tournament at the WSOP is a reflection of how WSOP can and has changed the lives of so many people. However, it seems as thought excitement is just now starting to build up at WSOP.
