Plans for a £15 million casino on the waterfront in Leeds have been confirmed.
Its opening in September is due to coincide with the unveiling of other leisure facilities which will form part of the larger £260 million Clarence Dock complex, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Alea casino will boast bars, restaurants, corporate facilities and a private cinema to cater for all types of visitors, not just the gamblers who are expected to flock to the casino.
Clarence Dock is expected to feature over 1.2 million sq ft of living space and entertainment facilities once it is completed.
John Galvani, development director at London Clubs International/Alea stated: "Our new facility will set the bar for both product and design above anything Leeds has ever seen before. Alea will become the must visit leisure destination in Leeds."
Leeds was one of eight local authorities recently granted permission by the government to license large casinos. Manchester wasn't granted permission for a super casino
