English woman takes home nearly £700,000 at Mecca Bingo

Many people favour the game of bingo for a cheap thrill and potentially huge payouts – which is exactly what one lady got at Mecca Bingo, scooping a prize of £639,000.
The big winner wished to remain anonymous, however it is known that she works as a hospital administrator and is married with two children and three grandchildren.
She claimed to have needed ‘a brandy or two’ after winning the prize, which took a moment to sink in. Her husband initially thought she had won £639 and received a pleasant surprise when he realised his mistake – he asked for a brandy himself after that.
The winner began playing at Mecca Bingo at the foundation of the company in 1993 and this is its largest single payout to date.
The win comes just as the Platinum playoff game of the National Bingo began last Sunday. The winner’s prize comes from the Mecca house prize, regional prize, national prize and special Platinum playoff prize.
