Intertops Has Complete Euro Odds

World’s first online sportsbook offering full house of propositions for this summer’s Euro 2008 Championships

Thursday 5th June 2008

Online sportsbetting site Intertops.com has announced that it has a full range of odds and propositions for the Euro 2008 Championships, which starts this Saturday in Basel.

Intertops.com was founded 25 years ago and was the world’s first online sportsbetting site. It has covered six Euro soccer tournaments since then and, with its widest ever range of bets, has odds on every game in this year’s month-long tournament taking place in Switzerland and Austria.

Two years after missing out on the World Cup title in its own country, Germany is favoured to claim the Euro title.

Intertops.com has odds on who will win the final match as well as every preceding quarter and semi-final pairing. The site also has odds on everything from whether or not it will rain in Vienna for the final to whether Germans will get a tax-free day should their team triumph. Intertops.com is even offering odds of 66,500 to one that Pope Benedict will sing We Are The Champions if Germany beats Italy in the final.

“The most popular bet is who will win the final,” said Michl Posch from Intertops.com.

'But we’re seeing a lot of action on the games leading up to the final as well. We’ve got so many betting propositions for each of those games; who’ll score the first goal, who’ll lead at the half, which player will score the first goal?”

Intertops.com stated that, going into the tournament, its bookmakers are hoping for a final pairing of Austria versus 2004 champions Greece. The site’s worst-case scenario would be a final showdown between Germany and Italy with the Germans winning after a penalty shootout.

Intertops.com also offers a range of live bets on every game and customers will be able to enjoy the game on television and place wagers until just before the final whistle with the odds changing according to the action on the field.
