UK casino operators Genting Stanley will be partnering with the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) group to build a £90 million entertainment complex at the NEC site in Solihull.
The new development will house a casino, which it is thought will take up around ten per cent of the floor, according to Leisure Opportunities.
Other facilities that may be available to visitors include a spa, hotel, restaurants and "other significant leisure attractions".
Councillor Mike Whitby, leader of Birmingham city council, commented: "The NEC site has tremendous strengths as a site for the leisure and entertainment complex. The venue has a long track record of welcoming visitors."
Elsewhere in the country, casino operator Alea is set to launch their £15 million casino on the waterfront in Leeds this September, which will be part of the larger £260 million development at Clarence Dock, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.
