Commerce Casino will try to combat the rising prices of petrol, which may put off punters, by dropping 60 $50 (£25) gas cards into poker pots on random tables throughout July.
Monday to Thursday throughout the month will see the floor managers add the card to pot in what the casino says is a "thankyou" for the continued loyalty of their customers, according to PokerPages.
The Los Angeles casino's promotion is part of larger series throughout the summer designed to encourage more visitors.
John Griffo, casino development manager, commented: "We just want our customers to know how grateful we are for their continued patronage in an era when gas is nearly $4 a gallon."
The rising price of gas is an increasing concern for Louisiana casinos as less patrons may be willing to make the journey if the cost of travel is too great, according to Casino City Times.
