Following January purchase, founder of Octavian to take role on parent firm’s Board.

Hong Kong-based gaming technology provider PacificNet has announced the appointment of Harmen Brenninkmeijer to its Board of Directors following the firm’s successful acquisition of Octavian International in January.
Brenninkmeijer was the Chief Executive Officer for Octavian International and founded the business in 2001 to focus on the commercial opportunities developing in Russia. Octavian grew to become a leading global developer of networked games and systems for the casino and lottery markets along with serving as a supplier of third-party equipment from many of the world’s leading manufacturers.

“PacificNet has a strong gaming focus and the acquisition of Octavian has further strengthened that position.'
After founding Octavian, Brenninkmeijer was elected as the first Chairman of the European Gaming Organization, a position he held for three years, and currently sits on the Advisory Board for Global Gaming Expo, a leading gaming industry expo.
