Despite sportsbetting underperformance, spreadbetting firm sees full-year pre-tax profits of $4.12 million.

London-based spreadbetting firm WorldSpreads Limited has announced that turnover rose 87 percent over the past year to $19.12 million due to its continued growth in client acquisition and bet numbers.
The firm reported full-year pre-tax profits of $4.12 million from a loss of $69,960 last year with the daily average of bets 73 percent higher at 4,500.
WorldSpreads revealed that the start to the new financial year has been favourable and that it is confident of achieving the challenging target it has set itself for the current year. It also stated that all segments, excluding its sportsbetting division, were performing well and are substantially ahead of original expectations.
