Progressive Jackpot Hits £3.2 Million!

Wednesday 18th June 2008

The latest trend in online casinos seems to be the progressive jackpot with literally millions of dollars on offer to the lucky winners. Pretty much like the old style bingo halls which were connected together to increase their jackpots, one of the games in question, Mega Moolah, is available to a host of casino sites and brings in massive amounts of money. The games themselves are available at all Microgaming Casinos, allowing players from all around the world to participate.

Mega Moolah recently paid out a $5.5 million jackpot and this was in addition to a whopping $5,556,753 which was won by a Finnish competitor playing Blackjack Ballroom Casino. The idea of progressive jackpots allows a whole host of smaller casinos to get noticed and actually offer some massive payouts to their clients. Interest in this area of the industry has increased dramatically over the last couple of years and as jackpots continue to grow the customer base could mushroom.

The online casino market is littered with small casino sites which have struggled and died as a consequence of the larger marketing budgets available to the big players. There are hopes that progressive jackpots may help to rebalance the situation and offer customers yet another service to consider.
