Casino Spam Is A Growing Problem

Thursday 19th June 2008

In the ever changing world of the internet, SPAM emails are actually illegal, with more and more senders being threatened with court action. However, the online casino industry seems to be suffering from a number of rogue affiliates and companies who feel that it is perfectly ok to send masses of unsolicited emails to any email address which they can get their hands on. Thankfully, the industry is fighting back and more and more of these rogues groups are being brought out of the shadows.

The online casino industry has always been easy prey for the rogue affiliates who have systems which can literally farm hundreds of thousands of email addresses from the internet and hit them with an array of unsolicited and often unwanted email offers. The main attraction for sending online casino SPAM has been the massive, often repeat, commissions on offer and the ability for many people to actually live off their commissions.

Slowly but surely new technology is being introduced to get to the bottom of the problem and those perpetrators are at serious risk of being caught. The fact that it is often unclear who has really sent an email is the main problem, but the main players in the industry are determined to clean up the reputation of online gaming.
