The rise and rise of the standing which WSOP has in the world of poker has had a massive impact upon the poker halls around the Las Vegas strip where demand and player numbers have literally gone through the roof. The fight is on to attract those visitors looking to replicate the WSOP event having seen their heroes in action. Thankfully this year’s tournament has so far been full of thrills and spills, new and old names and some great action.
There are a number of new events ready to go over the next few weeks which include Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza (29th May – 16th July), Mega Stack (1st June to 9th June), Binion’s Poker Classic (28th May – 8th July) and the Grand Poker Series (6th June to 6th July). As the prize money at these various events continues to grow even in the current economic climate, it seems like a great investment with many casinos expecting to be standing room only.
As we have covered on the site before, the trick for these casinos will be encouraging the mass of new players to return to their casino time and time again. If they could do that, they could be very happy indeed!
