British Sky Broadcasting has announced the launch of Sky Bingo Interactive, which allows viewers to play bingo while watching their favourite television programmes at the same time.
To take part, players only have to press the red button on their Sky remote control and then select Play Sky Bingo from the menu. The London-based broadcaster also revealed that the game could be played online at SkyBingo.com, offering a fun experience from the comfort of home.
While taking part in a game, players can minimise the Sky Bingo Interactive screen to show only their leading tickets alongside the balls called. In addition, the screen can be fully minimised revealing only how many numbers players have on each purchased ticket.
“Bingo continues to grow in popularity in the UK and we are thrilled to be the first to bring bingo to television audiences,” said Edward Moss, Marketing Director for Sky.
“Sky Bingo is a revolutionary and innovative new format for a traditional and popular game that has fans across the country and, what’s more, selected games are free to play every Monday and Thursday.”
Offering three ways to take part in 90-ball bingo games, players win with one or two lines in addition to a full house while the free games feature jackpots starting at $19,500. Players will also be able to use their accounts to take part in other services offered by Sky including those at SkyPoker.com, SkyVegas.com and SkyBet.com.
