Football pools website Sportech sign a ‘milestone’ contract with major gaming giant

Sportech, a football pools site, are to target millions of online sports betting, casino and poker players in a deal with industry giant 888. The move comes as an attempt by Sportech to reverse a shrinking market; they are hoping to attract a younger market and see a customer base of over 10,000,000 as they did in the 1990s.
Sportech Chief Executive Ian Penrose said: 'This is a strong strategic partnership for Sportech. This fits exactly with our strategy of reinvigorating the pools business and delivering an enhanced and modern product for today's gaming customers.' 888’s C.E. Gigi Levi called the deal a 'milestone agreement'.
The agreement will see Sportech’s New Football Pools games, comprising the historic Littlewoods, Vernons and Zetters brands, marketed across all of 888’s online gaming sites. 888 are one of the biggest names in the online gambling industry and this deal is a massive move for Sportech.
