Genting, the Malaysian gaming and leisure giant, is rumoured to be on the verge of launching the group’s first online poker and casino site in the shape of CircusCasino.com. While the market still awaits official confirmation from the company it looks as though the launch may happen tomorrow. Probably best know in the UK for its Stanley Leisure casino chain many may be surprised to see that the giant has not entered the online market to date.
The overall group is capped at around $17 billion and has a number of gaming and leisure operations around the world, all under the Genting Group umbrella. After the doom and gloom of recent months it is something of a shot in the arm for the industry to see the group decided the time is right for an online operation.
While the company has a massive worldwide exposure the real strength in the operation lies in the Far East.
