As we move on to Event number 48 at the 2008 WSOP it is team Bodog that is back in the headlines with the scintillating form of team player Jose Severino. The $2,000 NL Holdem WSOP event has seen the original field of some 2317 reduced to a mere 170 with Severino knocking them off one by one, having amassed a 130,000 stack in the process.
While Jose Severino leads the field forward with his laid back style and his confident manner he may see some competition coming his way from fellow Bodog team mate Wade Woelfel who has quietly been amassing an 80,000 pot and moving swiftly up the rankings. If we have learnt anything so far at 2008 WSOP it is the fact that the final hands are the most important. We have seen players storm to the top of the leader boards only to burn and die in the final stages of an event.
However, while Jose Severino and Wade Woelfel are still going very strong it looks as though the big winner from Event 48 may be Bodog itself. The company has chosen its team very well for the biggest bash in poker and the signs are that the team are set to deliver.
