While there have been a number of claims that online casino magnate Warren Cloud is dead, these have not been confirmed as yet. It is believed that he has died of a heart attack while enjoying a boat break of the Spanish resort of Ibiza. If the news is true it will bring down the curtain of one of the most charismatic and controversial characters ever to be involved in online gaming.
The fact that throughout his early years Warren Cloud used a number of aliases will ring alarm bells for many, but after a difficult start where he was dogged by rumours of high debts he did manage to make a name for himself. After his controversial start he turned to the Real Time Gambling software which was new to the market and literally saw his business change over night.
His empire took in a number of brands such as Crystal Palace, High Rollers Lounge and the Golden Nile Casino to name but a few. While he was never charged with any offences in relation to his business dealings, he was one of the first businessmen to register his casino operations in Costa Rica. He was not to everyone’s taste, but the online casino scene has lost a very energetic and enigmatic character in Warren Cloud.
