When The Smell Of Money Got Too Much

Friday 1st August 2008

Michael Wax was he first to admit that after 17 hours non-stop at the casino table he may have been struggling on the personal hygiene side but he has filed a complaint about his treatment at the Bortgata Casino in Atlantic City.

Wax claims that as he left to go to the restroom he was followed by one of the casinos managers and informed that some players at his table had been complaining about his body odour. When he returned to the table to continue playing he was politely informed that he should leave the casino floor. The 54 year old alleges that he then asked for a free room so that he could freshen up, which was denied and he was forced to leave the casino.

Wax has filed a complaint with the Casino Control Commission about his treatment and the issue is currently being investigated to see if any laws or regulations were broken during the saga. Interestingly, Wax has stated that he has thought about looking for another casino for his regular trips but he likes the Bortgaga Casino, even after the way he was treated!

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the investigation into his complaint.
