Majestic Concorde is looking to win his second race in just four days at Galway Races this afternoon.
The Dermot Weld-trained mount took victory in Monday's GPT Handicap and will bag a bonus prize worth 50,000 euros should he triumph in today's Galway Hurdle, a Group Two event.
Ladbrokes makes the horse 6/1 joint-favourite with Northern Alliance following claims by Weld to the Press Association that he has recovered well from his run earlier this week.
"Majestic Concorde's blood picture looked good and he only lost about five kilos after the race on Monday, which is not too bad," he remarked.
Stablemate Bobs Pride will race alongside him as Weld aims to win his first Galway Hurdle since Ansar in 2001.
In 2007, hot favourite Farmer Brown demolished the opposition, causing misery for the bookmakers, who were forced to make a major payout, the Galway Races blog reported at the time.
