Poker fans in the UK had better keep their eyes peeled for Poker in the Park which is coming to London on 15th and 16th August. The massive event is sponsored by PKR, officially the number one poker site in the UK (as classified by internet traffic site Hitwise). The event takes places on Friday between 5pm and 9pm and Saturday from 10am until 6pm, in Leicester Square Park.
The party has literally everything and is expected to attract upwards of 25,000 to London for free roll tournaments, lectures from the experts, books and merchandise sales together with the chance to mingle with the growing UK poker population. The main attraction seems to be the informal nature of the event and the chance to see and hear from professionals from around the world.
PKR has been among the top poker sites in the UK for some time but has now officially nabbed the top spot. The site offers everything from video game play to character development to player to player interaction and more. It will be interesting to see the array of technology and game play on offer for a day that visitors will surely never forget!
