To some the recent announcement that LaunchPoker has joined forces with LuckAcePoker was something of a surprise, one of the UK’s up and coming poker information sites hooking up with a relatively unknown poker site, but it seems like a match made in heaven. The main reason for the agreement is the fact that LaunchPoker is able to offer a revolutionary new odds calculator which can help any online poker player.
Nicknamed Pokerbility, the new calculator is compatible with the majority of the main online poker sites and is able to read the cards you have been dealt, the ones on the table and calculate the odds on any winning hands you could receive. While the calculator is able to give advice about which hands to play it is the fact it cuts down the odds which has attracted many people.
Pokerbility usually retails at around $99 but the deal with LuckAcePoker will see LaunchPoker players who sign up to the site issued with the calculator free of charge. But will it prove popular?
There are two trains of thought on this one, those who will find it useful in the pursuit of money, money, money and those who feel that it will take away a large chunk of the fun involved with playing poker. When you boil it down to a game of chance – which it really is – then it is not as exciting by half.
