UK Gambling Commission Gives Go Ahead For New Casino Games
Sunday 3rd August 2008
In a sign of the times the UK Gambling Commission has given approval to an array of new games for the UK arena. The new games include Pai Gow poker, Let It Ride poker and four new variations of the most popular poker game of all time, Texas Hold ’Em. The commission has also seen to approve 12 new side bet variations of which half are connected to the new games and half to existing games.
It is very interesting to see the UK Gambling Commission responding to the growing demand for new games as quickly as they have. Historically the wheels of the casino industry have always turned very slowly, something which many believe has hindered substantial growth until now. It looks as though we may well be entering a period of change in the UK casino sector and one which may be beneficial to consumers.
It is also interesting to see the UK Gambling Commission looking to the future and dismissing much of the red tape which has literally tied the industry in knots for many years. The move to allow an array of new games, some which may seem irrelevant to some, shows how close a control the Gambling Commission has on the UK casino sector – something which has gone down well with consumers.
