All In For Cerebral Palsy Poker Tournament Is A Winner
Thursday 7th August 2008
News that the All In For Cerebral Palsy Poker Tournament winner Sam Simon donated all of his winnings to the One Step Closer Foundation has received warm applause across the US. The One Step Closer Foundation is run by Jacob Zalewski who himself suffers from the difficult condition.
Sam Simon, who only last week had boasted that he was about to take his poker play to a new level, took on the likes of Barry Greenstein, Jamie Gold, Motel Williams and Shannon Elizabeth to bring home the first prize and show that he means business. But who is Sam Simon?
Sam Simon has had one of the more diverse professional careers of any celebrity in the US having started work on the well known US show Taxi. He then moved onto the Tracey Ullman Show although many will not be aware that he was also one of the original script writers for The Simpsons. Of late he has moved into professional boxing and currently trains WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster - but is this his future?
There is no doubt that Sam Simon is a poker player of distinction and a name which we are likely to hear more of in the not too distant future.
