There will be no shortage of star names at the upcoming Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) and Asian Poker Tour (APT) tournaments.
The next LAPT stage, which gets underway in Uruguay today, has attracted the likes of Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Rousso and Greg Raymer, according its official website.
Meanwhile, APT Macau, which kicks off on August 27th, will feature the likes of Doyle and Todd Brunson, Quinn Do, David Saab and JC Tran, its site revealed this week.
With a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million, the Chinese tournament looks likely to be at least twice the size of the one which takes place in Punta del Este in terms of wealth.
A $2,500 buy-in and a field cap of 300 means the total prize fund is not going to go above $750,000.
The LAPT and APT are both new competition series, which held their inaugural events in May of 2008.
