16 Golds And Counting For Team GB

News that the UK Olympic team has bagged another gold medal to top the sailing class at the Beijing games has pushed Team GB into third place in the medal table behind the mighty China and US and just one gold medal ahead of the rising Russian team. So can Team GB bag third place and push on further at London 2012?



While a gambler would probably look to the Russian team to come on strong in the closing days of this year's Olympics this has been such a monumental effort by Team GB that they could just do it, they could just grab third place and rewrite the history of UK Olympic medal wins. So what is left?



We have moved onto the track for the last few days and while there are few out and out gold medal hopes for Team GB there should be a good chance of gold in the woman’s BMX event with Shanaze Reade recovering from an early fall to stake her place in the final. The final stages of the event have been delayed due to the weather but she has a great opportunity to bag the gold for the British Team.

Fingers crossed for a little more luck and these record breaking games for Team GB could get even better!
