War Artist "deserves" Group One win

South African race horse War Artist is overdue a Group One victory, his trainer has suggested.
In an interview with At The Races, James Eustace implied the horse has a big race in him and that he will be looking for him to perform well at the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock next month.
"He really deserves to win a big one and hopefully he can do that at Haydock," Eustace remarked.
War Artist was denied victory by John Best's Kingsgate Native in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot earlier this summer and the bookmakers appear to think the same result could be on the cards again.
The majority of betting shops price Kingsgate's chances at 5/1 for victory, while War Artist is 6/1 in general.
Equiano, who won the Group One Kings Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, is the third favourite at 8/1 along with Chipchase Stakes Utmost Respect.
