Christian Elliot made the most progress up the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe main event leaderboard yesterday.
The UK poker player started the second day in 174th position but gradually made his way up to sixth place at the close of play.
It was the largest jump of the second day at the Victoria Casino in London's Leicester Square.
Elliot now finds himself on 231,900 chips and is just under 100,000 behind the overall leader Andy Bloch.
Other recognisable faces in the top ten of the poker competition include Eric Siedel, who was in third place after yesterday's action, and Canadian WSOP legend Daniel Negreanu, currently back in ninth after moving down the leaderboard during the day.
One player already rewarded with a title at this year's WSOP Europe is Danish star Theo Jorgensen, who won the £5,000 Omaha event in some style earlier this week.
