The annual charity drive participated in by thousands of bingo players is to be headed this year by former Eastenders and Two Thousand Acres of Sky actress Michelle Collins.
While international audiences may be unaware of Ms Collins, she enjoyed great success as Cindy Beale in one of the most popular UK television serials, Eastenders. Having already posed in a ballgown made entirely of bingo tickets for the cause, the actress expressed her enthusiasm at supporting the cause:
“It is a truly unique event that still continues to receive a huge amount of support and raise money,” Michelle said, referring to the £2.75m the event raised last year and the £3m it aims to raise this year. Anyone can participate at Gala Bingo.
