After winning an EPT event and making two major final tables, Mercier beats the best to win almost $1m.

John Juanda came within one flop of making a fantastic London double – after winning the World Series of Poker Europe £10,000 Main Event for almost $2m he found himself heads-up in the £20k High Roller event which got 86 entrants.
Unfortunately Jason Mercier’s KQ flopped the stone-cold nuts against Juanda’s AJ after they got it all-in preflop, meaning that the WSOPE champ saw his 60/40 advantage fall to an 11% chance to win.
Jason Mercier (no relation to Team PokerStars’ Isabelle ‘No Mercy’ Mercier) has been running very well, with a string of final tables including the WSOPE Pot-Limit Omaha and the Pokerstars.com EPT Barcelona as well as taking down the EPT San Remo. His live tournament winnings are nearing the $3,000,000 milestone.
