French poker professional David Benyamine yesterday helped himself to a $428,888 (£244,000) pot from a single hand.
The World Series of Poker bracelet holder was playing online at Full Tilt when he won the money, reports Poker Listings.
He was competing in a cash game against Lars Luzak on a $500/$1,000 no-limit hold'em table when he claimed the bumper payout.
Benyamine is far from the only player to win big in online poker rooms during the early stages of October.
At PokerStars, a player with the username Govshark2 picked up $184,500 for winning the latest Sunday Million event.
The end of the week also proved profitable for the player known as Starderi, who secured a $60,000 prize with success in the $300K Guaranteed Sunday tournament at PartyPoker.
Danish player Iconstruct also enjoyed a recent Sunday, as he was $55,000 richer when he logged off from Mansion Poker after winning the site's $250k Guaranteed Freezeout.
