How is online bingo holding up so well?

Friday 17th October 2008

Over the last few weeks we have seen larger and larger jackpots announced in the online bingo sector, ever increasing customer numbers and very healthy spending per player. But how can the sector swim against the tide of the UK economy? Is it really that buoyant or are we set for a slowdown?

The last couple of years have seen many so called expert proved wrong, the ones who claimed that bingo was not transferable to the online market place, that players would not follow large companies online. The truth is that online bingo has never been healthier, it has never been more popular and the mass of companies in the market have ensured a steady stream of new promotions to catch the eye of punters.

Business has never been better for the online market with many experts putting this down to the fact that many offline players who maybe don’t want to visit the new style bingo halls are happy to move to the new online medium. While this could be one of the reasons why numbers are still so health, the move from offline to online, it could also be that online bingo is attracting new players from all areas of society.
