The ongoing battle between online gambling sites and the US government may be settled with a large settlement.
Sites such as PartyGaming, SportingBet and others have been in the sights of the US Department of Justice for some time after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act – the government has been pressuring the industry, especially those sites that still host US players.
However, it is strongly rumoured that the solution is a large fine in the courtrooms, one that would not bankrupt the companies involved.
