While Dennis Phillips may be the leading chip holder going into the final table of WSOP 2008 he is not taking anything for granted and has been talking about how he got there, what he thinks of the tournament and how he would spend the money if he won!
He enters the final stages controlling near enough 25% of the total chips on the table with 26,420,000 which is well ahead of his nearest rival. However, he still knows there is a lot to do and one or two bad hands could blow the game wide open and leave him struggling. He has confirmed that this is his first big tournament although he is a regular on the casino poker scene. It was only when he sat down at the first table that he realised he could play, he could transfer his game from the casino but even he was astounded by the results so far!
Even though there is nearly $10 million at stake Dennis Phillips has found the time to team up with eBay to sell a logo spot on his jersey with all of the proceeds going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, showing that not all poker players are ruthless away from the table!
