As we approach the big day it seems that gamblers are now starting to flip flop between different players with Ivan Demidov now the favourite at 4.1/1, and Dennis Phillips second favourite at 4.6/1 but there has also been some movement further down the table.
David Rheem has come in from around 12/1 to a much healthier 8/1 but there is a feeling that the clever money will start to build on Scott Montgomery who has caught the eye of many gamblers in the ring. While Dennis Philips is head and shoulders ahead on the chips count he lacks the experience of the big games and could lose his cool as kick off approaches. Peter Eastgate is also seemingly in with a shout with current odds of around 6/1 which have stayed fairly steady for some time.
While we have heard very little comment from those moving to the final table in only a couple of weeks, it will be interesting to see what they have to say as the event approaches. This is the time when nerves will jangle, when dreams will be shattered and nightmares come true. The first few hands will be vital and the rest plane sailing......if only!
