As Andy Murray wrapped up yet another tournament win at the St Petersburg Open, his second tournament victory in succession, he is now looking for three in a row for the first time ever in the sport. He is already the only man ever to win back to back tournaments where one was outside and one was inside but he now moves on to the BNP Paribas Masters with his stock higher than it has ever been and the Britain having its best ever run in international tennis!
There is a growing debate about whether Murray is the best player in the world at the moment with a number of the higher seeds struggling of late and complaining of tiredness. However, this does not seem to be an issue with Murray who bagged another massive cheque at the weekend to smash through the £1 million prize money barrier for this year alone.
Murray is a man on fire at the moment, a man who is finally starting to show the class which many thought he had, however it is his mental strength which seems to be the difference at the moment. Can he keep it going?
