Isle of Man-based online casino software developer Playtech has announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Guy Emodi, has resigned in order to pursue other business interests.
Playtech has just signed a deal with British bookmaking giant William Hill to create the William Hill Online subsidiary at a cost of over $238.3 million and revealed that Shuki Barak, the firm’s current Executive Director, would assume the role vacated by Emodi with immediate affect on an interim basis.
Although Barak has previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer, the firm revealed that it was currently in the process of recruiting a permanent replacement for Emodi.
“Guy has played an important part in Playtech's recent growth,” said Roger Withers, Chairman for Playtech.
“The board will be sorry to see him leave and we wish him well for the future.'
