An Eastwood nightspot will be temporarily transformed into a glitzy casino for a charity event next month, it has emerged.
The Nottinghamshire town's Library Bar is set to feature Las Vegas-style blackjack and roulette tables on Saturday November 8th, when people will get the chance to play for big prizes.
In exchange for £5, visitors will receive a stash of gaming chips and be invited to try their luck by professional casino croupiers hired for the occasion, the Eastwood and Kimberley Advertiser reports.
According to the newspaper, all proceeds from the evening will be donated to Nazareth House, a charitable organisation based in Nottingham which supports children with serious medical conditions.
Famous as the birthplace of DH Lawrence, Eastwood is situated about eight miles northwest of Nottingham.
The area also boasts several permanent gaming venues, with blackjack, roulette and three-card poker on offer at the Alea Casino in Nottingham.
