As we approach the final Formula One race of the season a quick look at the odds for the race show that Felipe Massa is the favourite with Lewis Hamilton second favourite to win. However the action may well be overshadowed by the fight for the 2008 drivers championship which sees Lewis Hamilton ahead as we approach the final hurdle.
Hamilton is 1/5 to take the crown with Massa 4/1 and all other drivers very much out of the picture leaving the top 2 to battle it out. Hamilton was so close last season that nothing is ever certain although he seems to be very much calmer in the run-up to the final race compared to the same period last year.
Lewis Hamilton has made few friends in the Formula One business due to his often erratic driving style, his constant criticism of fellow drivers in the press and an unblinkered desire to bring home the trophy at whatever cost. It is this erratic driving style which may well be the undoing of Lewis Hamilton because although a 5th place or better finish would guarantee the title, nothing is ever certain in the high octane world of race car driving.
