Vancouver residents will have another gaming venue to visit from Wednesday November 5th.
Joining eight existing casinos in the downtown waterfront area of the Canadian city, the Grand Villa Casino contains 50 gaming tables and 1,00 slot machines spread over 100,000 sq ft of gaming space.
Dave Ghadia, chief executive officer of operator Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, suggested that the Grand Villa's location could give it an advantage over other similar venues.
He told the Vancouver Sun: "We'll draw people from throughout Greater Vancouver because it's near the highway and so accessible It's a very visible sight."
In an unusual twist, the Grand Villa will not contain a poker room, but will instead feature a gaming area devoted entirely to baccarat.
Other casinos in Vancouver include the Edgewater, which boasts a 30,000 sq ft gaming floor with over 500 slot machines.
