In another poor game we saw Arsenal comeback from one nil down to grab an unlikely two one win at Stamford Bridge. The Gunners have been under serious pressure over the last few weeks with a number of their fans even suggesting that their manager Arsene Wenger was coming to the end of the road. His refusal to compromise his style of football to one of battling and grinding out points has caused some friction within the club.
However, there is no doubt that Arsenal will tonight be relieved to see their style of football overcome a Chelsea team who in all honesty never really got going. This is a rare home defeat for Chelsea and one which pegs back their early lead in the Premiership and blows open the title race again. As the top teams fight amongst each other it is Liverpool who have stepped into the breach with the chance to move clear if they win their game against West Ham tomorrow.
This looks like being one of the most open and closely fought Premiership battles for many years and ominously Manchester United have been picking up points which they may not thoroughly deserve.
