Leading British interactive gaming firm buys VenturyGames.co.uk and ToucanWin.com while signing two further agreements with Zed Worldwide.

British interactive gaming firm NetPlay TV has acquired the mobile gambling and skill gaming businesses of Info-Download Limited at VenturyGames.co.uk and ToucanWin.com for over $1.4 million.
Info-Download Limited is a subsidiary of Zed Worldwide, a leading developer of entertainment and community products and services for Internet and mobile devices. Zed operates in 54 countries with forecast revenues for last year of over $800 million generated by in excess of 49 million users.
VenturyGames.co.uk offers casino and bingo products and services for mobile phone users that allow players to download games and place bets while on the move. It operates solely in the UK and has a relationship with the O2 mobile network operator.
NetPlay stated that the site has grown rapidly with the value of bets placed exceeding $579,000 per month. It revealed that gambling on mobile devices has always been a key part of its gaming strategy and that the acquisition would help accelerate the convergence of its products across different platforms.
ToucanWin.com was established by Zed several months ago to exploit the growing skill gaming market. The site takes ten percent of all monies wagered as its margin and NetPlay stated that skill gaming is an important area of growth in markets where gambling cannot be promoted.
As part of these transactions, NetPlay has also taken control of the Grab A Grand weekly UK mobile quiz business. It has over 11,000 subscribers currently that play for a chance to win cash prizes as well as a $1.4 million draw.
NetPlay also signed a two-year sales agreement with Zed to sell its range of interactive gaming solutions to its 130-plus mobile network operator client base worldwide. NetPlay is now able to offer a number of complete solutions to partners from skill gaming to bingo using mobile devices, the Internet or television.
Finally, a second one-year deal will see NetPlay exploit Zed’s mobile skill base of over 200 full-time developers. NetPlay will be able to integrate its offerings for mobiles much quicker to develop a complete converged solution allowing the user to interact from one single wallet via any device.
